AADR Adoption Guide

Use AADR when describing an application or system as structured, reusable data rather than only implementation code.

Steps

  1. Identify the representation target.
  2. Record its components, relationships, and artifacts.
  3. Link examples and source architecture notes.
  4. Record compatibility limits.
  5. Validate the representation can be understood without the original author.
  6. Assign a representation level.
  7. State whether the representation is descriptive, executable, complete, or partial.

SFDS Relationship

Use SFDS to maintain AADR as a standard suite. Use AADR to govern application-as-data representation records, architecture mappings, and compatibility limits.
